It was good fortune to have Tom Bailey reach out and request an interview. Mr. Bailey was incredibly generous, presenting an opportunity to articulate some of the ideas and intentions behind the project. It eventually resulted in the sign finding its perfect home while remaining accessible to the community of Memphis at large.

There is a magical museum in Memphis that is has made its mission the preservation, promotion, and advancement of the art and craft of fine metalwork. This is achieved through exhibitions, collections, studio practice, and community education and engagement. They have made a permanent home for the Memphis sign on their grounds, overlooking the Mississippi River.

It is with an overwhelming sense of joy that I am able to announce there are five signs in Florida made possible due to the generosity of O, Miami and the mind hive that operates it. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to participate in their 10th Annual Poetry Festival. The purpose of which is to offer every citizen of Miami-Dade County the opportunity to interact with a poem and consider their relationship to language.
